Positions:

PROJECT MANAGER

About you:
As a Project Manager, you have completed your formal education and have 5+ years of professional experience.  you have strong design skills, with the ability to communicate high level concepts, and can confidently translate those concepts in to architectural form. You have experience in the practice of architecture, and are eager to learn and grow in your career. With proficiency in drafting programs such as Revit, SketchUp and AutoCAD, you are able to coordinate drawings and meet aggressive deadlines. You exercise initiative, you are effectively able to communicate design intent to colleagues and clients.  You have experience managing junior designers and directing teams to achieve goals.  You communicate well with consultants and contractors, and anticipate upcoming project requirements and milestones.  You work well within a team, you are receptive to direction and critiques from senior team members, you are eager to mentor junior team members.  You are engaging, self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively with a high degree of autonomy.

Job Brief:
You will be an integral part of a collaborative design team and will be given a substantial amount of responsibility, with the expectation of being able to produce and execute on projects. you will coordinate with consultants to develop complete and synchronized drawing sets.  You are expected to work diligently while promoting an inclusive and collaborative studio culture.  Project managers are engaged in a project from conceptualization through construction administration.  You will be afforded diverse opportunities, allowing you to learn new skills and further your knowledge base, while continuing to developing your abilities as an architect. 

Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience practicing architecture, with experience executing commercial and residential projects of varying scales, uses and construction types. An intimate understanding of multi-family projects is desirable. You must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively on a widely varying set of project types ranging from vertical mixed use to single family residential.  We value strong collaborative skills, such as effective communication, eagerness to learn, and a desire to establish meaningful relationships with peers and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

At LSI a Project Manager will be required to successfully create and manage schedules and expectations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

·         Contribute to design efforts through a collaborative process with strong architectural drawing and construction detailing skills.

·         Manage team members, outlining tasks and deliverables, while providing guidance, education and clear direction. 

·         Coordinate with consultants to resolve issues and produce complete and synchronized drawing sets.

·         Analyze code and development parameters, and effectively translate that information into an achievable design.

·         Produce project graphics for client communication and marketing purposes. 

·         Maintain and Improve BIM and CAD templates and standards

 

Requirements:

·         5+ years of professional experience

·         Professional Degree in Architecture

·         Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD (additional experience with Sketchup, Rhino, or similar is a plus) 

·         Preferred experience with multi-family and vertical mixed use project types

·         Ability to communicate high level design concepts, and execute design intent

·         Proficient in Microsoft office, Adobe Suite

Landscape Architecture

  LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / DESIGNER

About you:
As a Landscape Architect / DESIGNER, you have completed your professional education and are eager to learn and build a strong foundation for your landscape architecture and planning career.  You are a confident designer with effective communication skills.  You have a strong work ethic and are willing to put in the effort it takes to produce excellent design solutions on aggressive schedules. You exercise strong attention to detail, are highly organized, and are able to manage workload on multiple projects simultaneously. You are a team player and work effectively in a collaborative group environment. You are able to communicate design intent at various scales and are excited about the opportunity to work on diverse project types. 

 

Job Brief:
You will be an integral part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary design team and will be responsible for a substantial amount of design input and drawing production. You will support senior team members in the coordination of drawing sets and communication with clients. You are expected to work diligently while promoting an inclusive and collaborative studio culture, with the ability to make a meaningful contribution to our team of landscape architects and planners. You will be afforded various opportunities to learn new skills. You will be mentored by senior team members to further your knowledge base, while developing your abilities as a landscape architect, and planner.    

Our ideal candidate will have a landscape architecture degree with some professional experience, either in internships or some type of post education professional experience. An eagerness to learn and exceed expectations on project deliverable is necessary. You must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively on a widely varying set of project types ranging from single family residential to master plans.  We value strong collaborative skills, such as effective communication, eagerness to learn, and a desire to establish meaningful relationships with peers and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

At LSI a Landscape Architect / Planner will be required to successfully meet or exceed schedules and expectations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

·         Work on landscape design and Land planning, feasibility and site plan projects

·         Work closely with senior designers on a collaborative team from conceptual design through construction documentation

·         Produce schematic and working drawings for residential, commercial, recreational and industrial projects including the production of specifications and construction details

·         Contribute to design efforts through a collaborative process with strong drawing skills

·         Map and illustrate existing site conditions

·         Develop conceptual plans for site layout, planning and grading

·         Assist in the coordination of design plans with other disciplines

·         Assist in development of site development plans submitted for development approval in conformance with plans, specifications, and ordinances

·         Produce project graphics for client communication and marketing purposes

·         Maintain and Improve CAD templates and standards

Requirements:

·         Professional Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban planning, or equivalent

·         2+ years professional experience in Landscape design and/or planning.

·         Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe CC (additional experience with Sketchup, Rhino, or similar is a plus) 

·         Ability to initiate design ideas, communicate concepts and execute practical intent

·         Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships

·         Effective time management skills

Job Brief:

Planner / Research Analyst

You will be the first to see exciting and diverse new projects around the Austin area, including mixed-use and affordable housing projects.  While learning the principles of development from site selection to entitlement to architectural design and building permits, you will work with a team of talented designers in an inclusive and collaborative studio culture.  LSI will afford you diverse opportunities to learn new skills and further your knowledge base, while developing your abilities as a planner. 

The ideal candidate will have a planning degree and some professional experience, especially experience with land development. Communication and critical thinking skills are essential, as you will be evaluating projects for feasibility and yield and conveying that analysis to clients. A desire to learn about the development process and important feasibility considerations is important. You must have the ability to pursue multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively on a widely varying set of project types ranging from master planning, to vertical mixed use to single family residential.  We value strong collaborative skills, such as effective communication, eagerness to learn, and a desire to establish meaningful relationships with clients, peers and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

At LSI a Planner/Analyst will be required to successfully meet or exceed schedules and expectations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

·         Analyze potential real estate development/redevelopment sites with respect to zoning, subdivision, transportation, environmental factors, utilities, easements and other encumbrances, and other considerations.

·         Research a multitude of local municipal and county jurisdictional regulations and development codes and GIS datasets.

·         Prepare exhibits and reports that clearly communicate important development considerations.  

·         Collaborate with designers and architects to understand how to create dynamic projects that meet code requirements, while also identifying creative solutions to development challenges and constraints to achieve client goals.

·         Use CAD and GIS to create base maps for project design.

 

 

Requirements:

·         Degree in Planning, Geography, or a Related Field

·         Demonstrate experience writing clearly and concisely

·         Experience creating professionally designed documents and exhibits

·         Ability to identify significant development challenges and identify creative solutions

·         Efficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, CAD (preferred), InDesign (preferred)
